Use the Difficulty

In this interview, Michael Caine shares an acting advice he received, which became a philosophy in his life: "Use the difficulty."

You don't let difficulty hinder you from pushing through. You use it to your advantage. What can you get out of it? What can you take advantage of? What can be learned and applied in other things?

This brings to mind a pattern: how many great innovations are born in crisis.

The biggest difficulties force us to focus on what's important. They force us to cut the fluff and use our resources on the key things that can bring the biggest impact. They push us to be creative. To make do with what we have. To maximize what we have.

Use the difficulty. Let adversity fuel you.
