Don't Chase Sanctuary

Challenges, stress, difficult relationships—they're all part of life. In families and friendships. In colleagues and business partners and clients. In our personal and professional lives.

The answer isn't in avoiding them and chasing sanctuary. It's in accepting that they are inevitable, facing them, and learning how to deal with them.

All we can do is minimize, but even then, they must be dealt with.

Inner peace shouldn't depend on everything going smoothly. That would mean betting on external events going the way you want them to—a recipe for disappointment and regret.

Inner peace should rely on our ability to handle adversity well, and not let them them ruin our composure and our happiness. To accept them as part of life. To become comfortable with challenge.
